Our customers use software we have developed to run their business processes (supply chain, on-line orders, banking solutions). Good software is high value and bad software can damage a business. So, the company business depends on software success, as you use it to run your business processes. Maybe you also use the software to produce your company's products.

But what about the process you use to create this software? Are you confident that your software and your systems delivery process will consistently turn out reliable, high performing software that align with your company's business strategy?

Recent studies show that the failure rate of software projects is still alarmingly high. According to Standish Group, only 34 percent of all software projects succeed, and only about half of planned features and functions actually make it into the software that is released. Companies pay a high price for this failure. Half of the applications that make it into production get rolled back later, according to Gartner.

Our best practices from years of hands on experience with software development and a SCRUM / Agile approach to system development helps us keep track of our customers projects.

Architecture and construction

Architect, design and rapidly build systems and applications through "Service Oriented Architecture" (SOA) and other architectures. You enable business flexibility because services can easily be upgraded, replaced or reused without affecting the underlying architecture. It promotes innovation and facilitates agility in automating business processes, while lowering the cost of IT through reuse.

Building software is like constructing a house and it requires three things: people, process and tools. The larger and more critical the project the more process and tooling involvement will be applied.

You must have skilled people either on staff or through contractors or outsource providers.

You need a process so that everyone understands their role, how to collaborate and share information within the team, what the milestones and objectives are.

And you need tools to design, construct and test the software system. We use tools to model process, to capture goals and objectives, to define data that the organization depends on, and we describe the underlying technologies.
